Guidelines for Applicants
The Paul and Sally McCracken Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation is used by Moreland Presbyterian Church for charitable and educational purposes in the state of Oregon. First consideration is given to “…the support of organizations that provide charitable and/or educational benefits to individuals in need.”
Charitable objectives include the following community concerns:
To support social service programs that serve the needy, including housing and counseling to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency
To support education and scholarship programs that assist people to become economically independent
To support childcare and other services that allow low-income parents, especially single parents, to further their education and training
By request of the donors, the fund does not support environmental advocacy.
Funding is granted on a year-to-year basis and no commitment is made to fund additional years.
The maximum grant awarded for a single project shall not exceed $5,000.00.
The deadline for submission of applications is always July 31 of the current year. Applications are gathered and reviewed in August, selections confirmed in September and usually checks are issued in early October.
